Here are two paintings I just finished of Guincho Beach. Guincho is famous for its high winds and powerful surf, as well as being overlooked by the Cabo da Roca lighthouse, which marks the westernmost point of the European Continent. The lighthouse is just visible a little way above the end of the point of land near the middle of the top painting. In the bottom one, it's obscured by fog. If you follow the ridge line toward the right (toward Sintra) you see Peninha Monastery at the peak.
